“Mix It Up Lunch” was created by the Teaching Tolerance program of Southern Poverty Law Center because studies show that interactions across group lines can help reduce prejudices, biases and misperceptions. A particularly effective interaction is sharing a meal.
YWCA Corpus Christi Board of Directors approved a monthly potluck lunch to celebrate diversity—Mix It Up Lunch.
Bring a covered dish to share and come to lunch at YWCA. Mix It Up Lunch is the fourth Thursday of each month, 12:00 noon in the gym. Sit with someone different from yourself and mix it up with a new friend!
