Pickleball
The sports phenomenon sweeping the nation! It’s a blend of badminton, tennis and table tennis, played on a badminton-sized court. Players use a paddle and a plastic ball with holes—and it’s fast and fun! YWCA Corpus Christi has Pickleball! You’ll love it—come and play!

Armando is 57 years old, and he works out in the weight room every day. “I’m not trying to get to be a strong-man,” he says. “I’m just working to stay mobile and strong enough to keep functioning. I want to hold on to what I have.”
Maria is 59 years old. She comes to YWCA to meet other people. “I have exercise equipment at home, but I come to YWCA to work out so I can be with other people also working out. It’s like a fitness family at YWCA!”
Elida is 72 years old. She says, “I come to YWCA to improve my health and to meet new people who also want to beer themselves and stay healthy.”
Ramona is 87 years old and plays chair volleyball. She says, “It doesn’t really matter when we don’t get the ball over the net. We do this because we laugh. Every point and every hit makes us laugh with our friends.”
